Why a wheel made of titanium?

It was Ludwig Hentschel’s, the innovator‘s claim to create a entire trolley, i. e. wheels and frame, with this precious material. Since there was no titanium wheel on the world market, also this was developed and hand-made in Altenstadt. As product of applied art the wheel with the TiCad Star is even protected by copyright. The titanium wheel is outstanding due to its stylish and more than functional, as particularly stable three-spokes-form. The circumference of the wheel of exactly one meter makes it even possible to exactly determine passed distances. Moreover, the rolling resistance of this wheel is extremely low.

For 20 years we have been manufacturing by hand running wheels of titanium for our trolleys. Many careful working steps are required to make a round wheel out of a straight titanium sheet: wheel rim, hub and spokes are made of pure titanium which is cut, bent, pressed, milled, spindled, burred, welded, sandblasted, polished and mounted. Already 20 years ago the realisation of a snap connection made it extremely easy and fast to place and remove the wheels from the axis.



The abrasion-free foaming tyre is pulled on the rim without any cavity with the effect that there is practically no noise and that no dirt or water can accumulate in-between. Also the front wheel, which is dismountable with the TiCads, has a convenient width to render a good service on the fairway.

Connections

TiCad stands for quality up to the very last detail. Thus, even the single components of our click-fix-connection (with the models TiCad Goldfinger, TiCad Pro and TiCad Andante) consist of high-quality materials which are corrosion-free and long-wearing. These stable connections are quickly joined and free of backlash.

All parts of the connections are made of materials which do neither wear off nor have any disadvantageous effects as material match. It is for a reason that TiTec Golf gives 5 years guaranty on its frames.

Leather handle

A really high-quality golf trolley needs a respectively pretty handle as this is the part of a trolley constantly lying in the hand.

For this reason, the handles of all TiCad models are coated with finest leather which is sown per hand. The leather is glued onto the prepared tube with special glue and then carefully sown up.

Bag support

There are all kinds and versions of golf bags with regard to length, diameter and form. A TiCad, however, can be loaded with nearly every bag due to the bag holders designed in such a universal way that every bag can be fastened tightly and safely.

Naturally, the bag supports are also made of titanium and with some models, they are even removable for a space-saving stowing. Already 20 years ago, TiTec Golf adapted a fastening system with rubber gaskets from sailing which has been taken over by several manufacturers in the meantime. The rubbers are a sound 6 mm strong and the stopper balls are blast-proof so that the danger of injuries is minimised.
